An important means to improve the processing indicators of fast wire cutting is multiple cutting.
Multiple cutting is like the process of removing machining allowance through rough machining, semi-finishing, and finishing in conventional metal processing, and its processing effect is self-evident. Therefore, both high-precision machine tools and ordinary machine tools adopt the multiple cutting process, including slow wire cutting machines, which also achieve high precision and high surface finish through multiple cutting. However, regarding whether multiple cutting technology can be applied to fast wire cutting machines in our country, I believe that we need to analyze that the key to achieving multiple cutting on fast wire cutting machines lies in having machine tools with high repeat positioning accuracy, allowing the wire to have a definite dynamic balance position and a narrow dynamic variation range. The important factors affecting the above variations include:
1. Axial movement and radial runout of the guide wheel and bearing.
2. Radial runout of the wire storage cylinder and vibration of the wire rack.
3. Wire vibration caused by uneven elongation of the wire due to heating.
4. Changes in the contact point between the wire and the guide wheel caused by the wire's detachment effect at high-speed feeding.
5. Instability of the working fluid injection pressure causing disturbances to the wire.
6. Disturbances to the wire caused by discharge explosion forces.
Therefore, as long as we can offset or reduce the interference of the above factors on the dynamic position of the wire, we can achieve stable multiple cutting on fast wire cutting machines.
